HOLIDAY PUNCH COCKTAIL

The holidays are here and this HOLIDAY PUNCH COCKTAIL is what actual dreams are made of.  Slightly sweet, a little tart and oh so perfect for any party…not just during the holidays.

Holiday Punch Cocktail

I first had this drink at a restaurant a few months back, and ever since then I have been working on getting this holiday punch cocktail oh so perfect for all of you.  And boy is it good! Honestly, it might be my top 3 favorite drinks. My Gin Fizz and Whiskey Sour are the other 2 in case you were all wondering.

Although this says holiday punch cocktail, you can drink it any time you feel like it.  In a month I’m going to Hawaii with some friends and we were all told to bring a “signature cocktail” and this is what I’m bringing!!!  Now you may be asking yourself, can I make this into a mocktail?  I really have no idea.  This uses cranberry and raspberry so maybe a cran-raspberry type juice could replace the alcohol, but again, I have not tried it like that!  If anyone does try it, let me know in the comments!

I want to talk about vodka for a quick minute.  I like the brand Deep Eddy .  The flavor is great and its gluten free.  You can get it at most liquor stores like Bev Mo or Total Wine.  Another part to this drink is using some sort of raspberry liqueur.  A popular one is Chambord, but I like the Drillaud Raspberry Liqueur.  Again, you can get those at almost any liquor store.  Lastly, you’ll need a ginger beer.  Pick your favorite.  There are LOTS of options out there, I prefer Bundaberg for this holiday punch cocktail.  When choosing a ginger beer for this drink try to find something that isn’t very “spicy” (the cock and bull brand is “spicy” in my mind)
