THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO CAMPING: PART 1

Camping is my absolute favorite thing to do ever.  My parents have been taking me since I was a baby and I haven’t stopped. Hashtag: Can’t stop, won’t stop! It is so important to me that I had to make sure I married someone who would enjoy camping as much as I do.  Camping does involve some prep work, but I promise you it is WORTH the prep!

Up until last year we used to pack everything up in our car (I’m a car tetris pro), but when we went on our 2 week camping adventure in 2017, we invested in a small storage trailer to haul behind our car.  Best decision ever! But like I said, you do not need a storage trailer to go camping at all, you just need to learn how to stack things up like a boss!

Below are two camping checklists for you to download and print out!  Don’t forget to pin it to save it for later!  These checklists are the essentials to camping.  This is what we pack up every single time we camp.  I suggest buying bins that have a lid to place everything in and to stack up in your car. The vacuum seal bags that are made for blankets are awesome to use as well because you can get them very very thin and they can fit under seats and stack really well.   Your list may vary a bit and that’s fine!

I HIGHLY suggest and urge you to not bring any Ipads, devices, or technology of any kind!  Camping is the perfect opportunity to spend family time and to show your children that they can have fun without having their eyes glued to a device!!  Enjoy the time together because that’s what is truly important!

  1. We’re taking our 3 year old and 16 month old camping in two weeks. What kind of bed set-up do you usually use for your babies? I’m a little worried our 16 month old is just going to spend the night roaming the tent….

  2. I’m very inexperienced w/ camping but decided to take my 10 year old daughter tomorrow. This checklist is a lifesaver! Thank you!

    1. Have a great time. Remember relax and have a good time. You guys will do great! Let me know how it goes!
