POMEGRANATE APPLE SPARKLER

I love fall and winter beverages! This POMEGRANATE APPLE SPARKLER is simple, delicious, and screams COME TO MAMA!

Pomegranate Apple Sparkler

Hot Apple Cider is my jam during the cold winter seasons!  My recipe, which you can find HERE is absolute perfection, but sometimes I’m just not feeling a hot drink!  I know I can’t be alone in this!  That’s why I created this Pomegranate Apple Sparkler.  It’s refreshing, and will seriously give you the major major feels!

You can make a giant pitcher of this if you are making it for a bunch of people and then just add the seltzer water, or booze if you are feeling a little frisky.

Let’s talk juice real quick.  I love North Coast Apple Cider and Juice.  If you can find it at your grocery store pick it up! Okay, moving on to pomegranate juice.  I have tried a few brands and nothing beats POM. If you want a bomb ass Pomegranate Apple Sparkler, get POM. You also have the option of making your own juice from an actual pomegranate (would you believe it) lol.  That takes a little more time because after you smash the seeds you need to strain everything.  However fresh is so dang good!  Just a little more time consuming and we all know pomegranate likes to stain a bit!

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 1 minute

Total Time: 6 minutes

Yield: 1-3

Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple cider or juice
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate juice, or 1 pomegranate muddled and strained
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Splash of seltzer water or club soda
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • Cinnamon stick for garnish
  • OPTIONAL: 1 oz bourbon or spiced rum

Instructions

  1. Open pomegranate up and remove all seeds. Muddle the seeds until you get juice then strain so that you don’t get what’s left of the seeds.
  2. Pour juice into a shaker with cinnamon stick and cinnamon. If using alcohol pour that in also.
  3. Top with sparkling water.
  4. Pour apple cider, pomegrante juice, and ground cinnamon into a shaker with ice. If using bourbon or spiced rum add that in as well.
  5. Shake, shake, shake, until well combined then pour over a glass of crushed ice.
  6. Top with the splash of seltzer water or club soda and garnish with a cinnamon stick!

The seltzer water/ club soda amount is totally up to you.  I love a good fizzy drink so I will fill my glass about 3/4 up and then finish it up with all the bubblies!
