TAILGATING ROUND-UP

I have put together a round-up of snacks/appetizers that are perfect for a tailgating party. I know what some of you are thinking….Jen, we don’t watch anything that has to do with sports over here. Well, you’re in luck, cause these dishes are great even for the sports haters!!

Lets get started. And in case you are wondering, these are in no particular order, and they are paleo and whole30 approved! 🙂

  1. BAKED JALAPENO RINGS  These delicious little morsels will put a little pep in your step, the stride in your glide, the motion of the ocean…you get the idea!
  2. BAKED ONION RINGS Go ahead and make these baked onion rings too after you make the jalapeno rings. You can thank me later.
  3. CREAMY ARTICHOKE AND KALE DIP If you are a dip lover, like myself, I suggest the artichoke and kale dip. Its creamy, and garlicky, and finger licking good. And if you want to be real naughty this superbowl sunday, put in on a baguette.
  4. GOLDEN BEET CHIPS: Similar to a beautiful golden sunset, these are heaven in your mouth! Not a beet lover, these may be a game changer for you.
  5. SWEET POTATO AND BACON CHIPS 1 word. BACON.
  6. ASIAN KABOBS when Asian meets meatball meets kabob. Don’t have time to stick everything on a stick? Just put the meatballs onto a serving platter. And don’t forget the dipping sauce!
  7. MEXICALI DIP AND BACON WRAPPED POPPERS I had the honor of making tailgating recipes for Whole30 last year. This is part 1.
  8. STUFFED MUSHROOMS AND BUFFALO SLIDERS Part deux.

Other things I like to have in front of me on game day…..

Apples wrapped in prosciutto and mini sweet peppers, also wrapped in prosciutto. #prosciuttoobsession

Anything from BAREFOOT PROVISIONS…..and even though you probably won’t get anything from there in time (like a chomps snack stick or beef jerky) to have while watching your favorite team win, there are so many other things you can get from there for another upcoming event. HINT HINT: valentines day IS coming up.

CASA SANCHEZ FOODS: They have chips. They have dips. And there is currently a sale at Whole Foods Markets. If I’m not making my own guacamole or salsa, I’m buying their product. Cause they rock my world.

And there you have it. The great and glorious tailgating round-up 2016 (and probably 2017 and 2018) I might have some more things to add after 2 years!! 🙂
